Meeting on RCN, 19th of May 2010

Delegates of NNUK (Ajita & Indira Bashyal) attended meeting on 19th of May 2010, in Royal College of Nursing (RCN) among the UK based Nurses Association in Cavendish Square,London. The agendas were :

Pay,workforce issues and working in the uk for the first time    By Gary Kirwan, Senior Employment Relation Advisor.

The RCN Immigration Advice Service, By Mandie Sewa,RCN Immigration Advisor.

International Nurses and the UK welfare Benefits System  By Claire Cannings,RCN Welfare Advisor.

Continuing your professional development  By Ruth Burey ,Learning & Development Facilitator-Enhancing Practice & Influencing ,Learning & development,Institute.

Update on the RCN International Humanitarian Community and International Reference Group  By Lesley Arietti,International Advisor.

Well, We strongly put our voice about IELTS scoring to be a qualified Nurse in UK, other Association also agreed with us and given similar openion, finally it was very fruitful,main discussion was about IELTS and Nurses (outside EU qualified) are working as a health care assistance.

Finally, we would proudly like to let you know that Maxine Hurley from RCN is attending on our meeting on 13th of June. Could you please attend on that meeting and lets make good planning about General Assembly on 24th of August.

 

New Year programme 2067 (2010) organized
NNAUK has organized a cultural programme on the special occasion of Nepalese New Year 2067 towards developing a better Nepalese community in UK on 9th April 2010 at Wembley in London. The chief Guest was Acting Ambassador Mr Jhabindra Aryal and special guest was Mr Virendra Sharma who is the Candidate of Labour parity for Parliament in this general election. Similarly, NRNUK President Mr Surya Gurung with executive members, Nepali TV, media personality, represented of different social organization, people from different cultural background, so many people from Nepalese community have been attendant.

Respected singer Sharmila Bardewa, Bibek Shrestha and local talent were made an enjoyable evening of their excellent performance.

Well, NNAUK would like to express our especial thanks to Mr Dhruba KC hunorable representative of "Visit Nepal 2011", Mr Rajaram Giri from Himalaya Publication, wonderful Enterprises Mr Sati Lotay, Ms Pipla Dewan president of "Nepalese Women Welfare", Mr Tanbir Taj Watford Counsellor, Mr Hitman Gurung NRN Europe Co-ordinator, Mr BP Khanal London Thames College, Mr Kapil Maharjan KM Training centre for giving us financial and moral support to NNAUK.

Likewise, Mr Jhabindra Aryal Charge d' affairs of Nepali Embassy, MP Mr Virendra Sharma, Mr Surya Gurung president of NRNUK, IT Consultant Mr Shakti Ghimire, Mr Pratap Rana "Rara Restaurant" for providing delicious food and all our respected guest, artists, Sahityik team, volunteers, announcer team and all the Nurses for their hard work to make it success. Same way we would like to express our sincere apology for any inconvenient for all of you.

Last but not least, thank you very much again for your kind help, co-opration, support, guidance, and also expecting in future, NNAUK is always grateful with you. We would like to request you to about our movement, your any comment will be appreciated so we can correct and improve ourselves in future.

Delegates of NNAUK attended conference on diversity and equality

Delegates of NNAUK attended the conference on diversity and equality that was organized by Royal College of Nursing (RCN) on 1st March 2010 in London. RCN represents nurses and nursing, promotes excellence in practice and shapes health policies in the UK.  Please visit www.rcn.org.uk for more information.

Similarly, our delegates met RCN executive members to discuss our agendas about registration criteria of Nursing and Midwifery Council.

Likewise, to discuss IELTS scoring system, we met Joan Myers, a professional officer for diversity professional leadership team from department of health. And we have invited her on our New Year Cultural Program on 9th of April 2010 as well; we believe it will help to promote “Visit Nepal 2011".
